ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Investigators now suspect foul play in the disappearance of a 67-year-old woman from St. Johns County.

Barbara Parchem was last seen April 5. Her family reported her missing when she failed to show up for work at a Village Inn in St. Augustine. Parchem is described as 5'3", about 100 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair.

Investigators have used air and ground crews to search for Parchem near her home in Vermont Heights. Detectives say her red 2005 Nissan Pathfinder was seen following her disappearance. It was spotted near a horse farm on CR 214 then again on CR 13.

Deputies say security cameras caught Parchem at the Race Trac gas station near SR 207 and I-95.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 277-TIPS.

ya want to publish news... how about that deputy who was on paid leave for a full year,, a year of taxpayer dollars,, while he coped with his loss of his girlfriend,, oh he who left his service revolver handy,, after he allegedly gave her the boot ??? and the big boss man supports this road patrol deputy ???? he ain't fit to carry a badge,, let alone a service weapon !!! taxpayer dollars dave... remember your words dave,,, you are staking your re erection on this case & now another who dunnit??? how do all his fellow officers feel about the fact he got a years vacation paid ??? no wonder you gave them all a bonus,, when this all began.. keep dissension in the ranks to a minimum !!! and why did they all stand around for at least an hour,, before they got the story straight about the death of your deputy ???? come on dave,, the house of cards is crumbling & the blue wall of silence is turning into mold or blue cheese !!! a years paid vacation !!! AMAZING !!! any other department would have required medical or physcological proof of some disability,, & promptly placed said officer on disability,, which usually lasts for 6 months,, not a year,, at which point said deputy would have been able to file a claim for social security disability,, DAVE !!!
