ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office arrested four teens suspected of committing vehicle burglaries in the Northwest District of the county within the past several months.
Police had gotten a tip from a juvenile suspect's family member. Police then located property that was stolen during the burglaries.
Detectives later got information that led to the identity of a juvenile suspect, who was arrested in late August on unrelated charges.
David Michael Froess Jr., 17, of St. Johns, was re-arrested earlier this week. Information led detectives to three additional suspects, Brandon Stephen Connell, 18 of St. Johns; Montgomery Sinclair McCaffrey, 19, of St. Johns; and Sean C. Gwaltney, 17, of Jacksonville.
All of the vehicles had been left unlocked before they were broken into.
The investigations are ongoing and detectives are seeking information in the cases. Anyone who has more information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 277-8477.
