JACKSONVILLE, Fla., -- The Early Learning Coalition of Duval will hold its ninth annual Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Kick Off event on Saturday, Jan. 26. You can register your child for VPK at four Jacksonville locations: Pablo Creek Regional Library, Mandarin Oaks Elementary School, Florida State College at Jacksonville (Advanced Technology Center @ Downtown Campus) and Kingdom Plaza Mall.
Eligible children must live in Florida and turn 4 years old on, or before, Sept. 1. Parents will need to bring 1 proof of child’s age and 1 proof of Florida residency. Typical examples for each are:
For proof of age: (Child must be born between 9/2/2008 and 9/1/2009.)
Birth Certificate, shot record signed by doctor, Passport or Military ID.
For proof of residency:
THE ADDRESS MUST MATCH THE APPLICATION.
Driver’s License, Utility bill, Lease Agreement, FL Vehicle Registration Card or Pay stub
Parents will be asked to provide their child’s Social Security number. Families may also bring copies of their documents, which will not be returned, to expedite the registration process.

Registration is also available at all ELC of Duval offices starting Monday, Jan. 28. No appointments are needed.
