Free food bags to be distributed to neighbors in need

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County and Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry are pairing up to distribute free food bags for persons in need in St. Johns County. It's all part of the Mobile Pantry program.

The program will distribute 7,500 pounds of produce, diary, deli and bakery items to those who meet the low income eligibility requirement.

The bags will be given out on Wednesday, February 27th and Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Homeless Coalition's Transitional Housing Office located at 62 Chapin St. in West Augustine.

Anyone in need is invited to participate in the Mobile Food Pantry program. Volunteers are also needed to help register applicants and distribute the food.
