LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Funeral services have been set for a Lake City police officer and mother who died in a house fire.

The viewing for Brandi Jackson will be held Monday, Nov. 4, at Christ Central Ministries at 217 SW  Dyal Ave. in Lake City. The hours are 4 to 8 p.m.

Her funeral is the following day at the same location.  It begins at 11 a.m.

A memorial fund has been set up in Officer Jackson's name at the First Federal Savings & Loan.  She had two children, aged 2 and 4, and had been with the police department for two months.

Jackson was in a home on Dante Terrace that caught fire early Thursday morning.

The home belonged to Lake City police investigator David Greear, a 14-year veteran of the force.  He escaped the fire with minor injuries.

The state Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
