GPS tracking system helps police nab suspects in carjacking
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A carjacking at a local food store ended at a parking garage Wednesday at Jacksonville International Airport.
Police said the victim had their car taken at gunpoint from the Soutel Food store at 4 p.m.
Since the car had a GPS tracker in it, police used their helicopter to track the stolen car up Interstate 95 to the airport.
Airport police became involved, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers located the car and detained three people. No one was hurt during the incident.
A JSO spokesman said it's too early to determine whether one person or all three in the car will be arrested.
