SANFORD, Fla. -- The Seminole County Sheriff's Office released new information on how the jury spent its time during sequestration for the George Zimmerman trial.

The jury spent 22 nights at the Marriott on International Parkway in Lake Mary.

The jury, during the trial, had lunch brought in from area restaurants. They had breakfast and dinner through the hotel, except for two dining excursions to Outback Steakhouse in Sanford and Amigo's in Altamonte Springs.

They often dined together in a suite set aside for meals. They watched movies together in the hotel and on field trips. They saw "World War Z" and "The Lone Ranger," movies approved by the court.

The secret panel took several evening and weekend trips, including a visit to the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum and dinner in St. Augustine.

The jury also enjoyed fireworks on the Fourth of July in Seminole County.

Other weekends were spent visiting family members and friends. Visitors had to sign an agreement, saying they wouldn't talk about the case with the juror or to outside parties.

Panel members had their laundry done through the hotel's laundry service.

Family members were also allowed to take home the laundry.

All TV, Internet use, mail and phone calls were screened and logged by deputies. Jurors could also check their cellphones once a day for voicemail and to make calls, but in the presence of a deputy.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says preliminary figures show it spent approximately $320,000 in overtime, equipment and other trial-related expenses.

Why is this a top story? What's the big deal where they went as long as they didn't discuss the trial!
