GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -- A Brunswick man will not face charges after stopping traffic to help a wheelchair-bound man hurt in an accident.

Edward Henry, 65, was hit riding in his motorized wheelchair in the intersection of Altama Connector and Glynn Marsh Drive Saturday. Paul Clark, 29, stopped his vehicle near the intersection to assist Henry. He called 911 and sat with the victim in the rain until first responders arrived.

A Glynn County officer wrote Clark a ticket for being illegally parked.

Henry later died from injuries. The driver who hit him was not charged because police say Henry was crossing against the light.

Wednesday, Police Chief Matt Doering decided to rescind the citation against Clark.
