JACKSONVILLE Fla.-- Through tears, 86-year old Margarine Cobb's daughter remembered her mother the best way she knew how Sunday night, through song and prayer in a candlelight vigil.
The light of Cobb's life shined brightly in the hands of her loved ones down Bridier street where she spend most of her life before her house tragically burned down Friday night.
Cobb never made it out alive, but her memory lives on through her 11 children and the many other people she touched throughout her community.
"She hasn't left me," said Cobb's daughter, Midlred Chambers. "She's in my heart, she will live forever as long as I'm living she will live forever."
"Everything that I am is what she left me," said Cassandra Stafford, Cobb's youngest daughter.
A sculptor and a ceramic artist, family says Cobb travled from nursing home to nursing home in Jacksonville teaching people her passion, and helping others. But on Sunday, the talbes were turned as others came to her family's side.
The vigil ended with the release of 12 white and gold baloons to the heavens.
"Mother is gone, but one day I will meet her in the air and I hope she meets me in the air," said Cobb's daughter, Ida Dempsey.
