GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Green Cove Springs woman is nearly a million dollars richer after winning one of the grand prizes from the 100X THE CASH scratch-off game from the Florida Lottery.

Lottery officials made the announcement Monday.

Bauer recently purchased her winning ticket from the Racetrac gas station on Highway 17 in Green Cove Springs.

The scratch-off winner has decided to take her winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $701,510.57.

Officials say the Racetrac store will receive a $2,000 prize for selling the winning ticket.

The Florida Lottery says that its sales generated more than $575 million for the state’s education system last year.

"The Florida Lottery says that its sales generated more than $575 million for the state’s education system last year." I wonder how much ended up in some of the state's bureaucrats' pockets. Probably, more than went to the state's education system.
