ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A jury has convicted Steven McCloud on charges of attacking a police officer, and not having a valid driver's license.

In May 2012, Orange Park Police tried to contact McCloud in the Orange Park Billiards parking lot.

When the officer approached McCloud's car, he attempted to run the officer over in the parking lot.

McCloud then took off from the area and refused to pull over for police.

Weeks later, Clay County Sheriff's deputies were conducting a checkpoint in the area and spotted McCloud's car.

McCloud was driving with a suspended license at the time, and was arrested at the scene.

McCloud is facing 30 years in prison.

He will be sentenced February 13, 2013.
