JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Former Jaguars owners Wayne and Delores Weaver and EverBank founder David Hicks and his wife Ann have donated $1 million to Habitat for Humanity in Jacksonville.

The $2 million presentation was made on Monday afternoon at the New Town model home on Windle Street in Jacksonville. The money will help the nonprofit organization to support the revitalization efforts in the neighborhood.

According to a press release, to make a greater impact in Jacksonville neighborhoods, HabiJax is committing to revitalize the historic neighborhood of New Town and offering potential homebuyers an interest-free mortgage. Over the next four years, New Town is planned to include at least 100 new homes.
