Teen injured after deputy shootout dies in hospital
ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The teen injured following a shootout with a Clay County Deputy over the weekend has died in the hospital.
Hadrian Rabadan died from his injuries shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to Mary Justino of the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Rabadan was suffering from a gunshot wound, but investigators cannot say whether he was shot by the deputy or if it was a self-inflicted wound. The Clay County Sheriff's Office does say Rabadan exchanged gunfire with deputies before he was found injured.
Rabadan's body will now be taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Duval County. The Medical Examiner will turn in it's report to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which is now heading up the investigation.
The FDLE has not issued a formal report on the shooting yet. The deputy involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure.
