Handicap parking crackdown that won't cost taxpayers a dime

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Eighteen of the River City's newest volunteers are working to fine drivers who park in handicapp spaces illegally.

So happy that those that do not adhere to the policies of handicap parking could get ticketed for inappropriate use of the spaces. As one that uses the parking when the chronic pain I endure is at a high level making walking difficult and I have to shop, I will use it. I hope these folks patrol in all areas of town. The big box stores could use patrols more than most other parking lots. Thanks for taking on this and get em!

The handicapped parking sign is a warning. First time offenders should be fined. That is the problem with our society. We give criminals too many chances.
