ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A 34-year-old is accused of defrauding Jackson Veterinary Hospital more than $200,000 over the last four years.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, says Carey Lynne Platt was the book keeper and office manager of the animal hospital when the funds went missing.

Investigators say Platt manipulated office records to hide the on-going thefts.

The suspect reportedly used the stolen money to help pay off credit cards bill.

The SJCSO is continuing its investigation.
