Jacksonville, Fla. -- All the holiday shopping may have you packing on the pounds, but there are healthy foods to eat while out looking for gifts.

There's no shortage of food when it comes to holiday shopping. All you have to do is look around.
Everywhere, people are eating soft pretzels, hot dogs, even fancy drinks. Just the smell will reel you in.

"I wouldn't say healthy, but if it smells good, I'll just eat it," said Dominic Blye.

But a new report from Health Magazine shows some of the healthiest dishes to eat while you're shopping.

Asian grilled salmon with asparagus is one of the top ten picks. Half the entrée from PF Changs is just 230 calories. Other top picks include the Moroccan chicken salad from California Pizza Kitchen. That rings in at 412 calories. Chicken on flatbread at Starbucks is 250 calories.

But shoppers say, it's more easy just to grab what you see when you're out buying gifts. "It's easy to just pick up something," said one shopper. "I'd probably take a hot dog over salmon," said Blye.

But no matter what you choose, some say you can trim you waistline while you're shopping.

"Not really if you measure your portions," said one shopper.

Here are a few other health tips for eating out. The American Heart Association says to ask for meals that are low in saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol. Also, portion control is a big one. You can share your meal, or take half of it home to save for later.
