JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Our week of extreme weather (record rainfall, record lows & now record highs) will continue into the weekend with near record highs close to 100 degrees. When combined with the humidity, the heat index will reach 105-110 and even a few degrees higher in inland Southeast Georgia. The heat will continue well into next week with a few afternoon storms entering the picture by Tuesday. In the meantime, it'll be dry which will help the flooding situation. Only the Santa Fe and Suwannee Rivers are still rising and will crest by early next week while the St. Marys River -- though still in flood -- is slowly receding....Black Creek in Clay Co. has dropped below flood stage.
