JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Tropical moisture will remain in place through Thursday resulting in widespread rain and a few thunderstorms. Heavy showers at times will drop rain at the rate of 1"+ per hour so some localized ponding of water on highways plus minor urban, street and small stream flooding will be possible. Very humid temperatures will only drop into the 70s by early Thursday with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s. Rain will diminish and become more scattered Thursday night into Friday but still with a few brief heavy downpours. High humidity and very warm temperatures will continue into the weekend before some relief by early next week. Click
