JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This Christmas travel season is expected to be the busiest in the last six years, according to AAA.

More than 93 million Americans are expected to hit the road this season.

That's 1.6% more than last year. And AAA says that's because airlines have cut the number of seats on flights and continue to raise prices.

They say nearly 85 million people will drive at lease 50 miles between December 22nd and January 1st, a new record.

One in four Americans will be driving long distances for the holidays. So expect lots of traffic if you're driving for the holidays.
