JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- First and foremost: it'll stay breezy this weekend. Winds today are in the 15-20 mph range. Expect similar wind speeds on Saturday, and still occasionally breezy on Sunday.

The winds are coming in from the southeast. These persistent onshore winds have already increased the rip current risk. Be mindful of the rips...especially with kids swimming in the ocean. The rip current risk is currently "moderate", but may elevate to "high" over the weekend. Be careful.

Skies overall will be sunny or partly sunny. We'll see cloud build-ups through the afternoon. Widely scattered thunderstorms should be well inland by evening both days.

The coast may see a passing morning shower. Generally, though, we'll see long periods of sunshine and beach breezes.

High temperatures near 90 around the city of Jacksonville...mid to upper 80s at the Beaches.
