CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A man was arrested after trying to steal from local churches. The Clay County Sheriff's Office had been investigating multiple cases of burgalry and vandalism of five local churches. The first incident happened in late 2012 and the latest incident happened this month.

Deputies arrested 53-year-old Steven Hardwick. They said he broke the window of the Church of Christ on April 9 with the intent to steal.

They also said he left behind several items he had gathered, including a survey with personal information on it. Police used that information to track him down.
