Hot temperatures for the holiday weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The holiday weekend will be hot and mostly dry with only widely scattered to isolated afternoon showers & storms mainly near and west of Highway 301.  Temperatures will soar into the 90s inland...85-90 degrees at and near the coast.  Sunburn time will be as low as 15 minutes so use plenty of sunscreen through Labor Day.  College football kicks off Saturday.  The Gators play in Gainesville at 3:30pm: partly sunny, brief shower possible, temps. in the low 90s.  The Seminoles play at 6pm in Tallahassee: partly cloudy with a shower or storm risk.  Temps. in the 80s.  For High School football and the "Friday Night Blitz", it will be a warm, muggy night under partly cloudy skies with light winds.  Temperatures will slowly fall through the 80s.
