JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Hot temperatures through Friday with inland highs in the low to mid 90s, heat indices 100+.  The sea breeze will help keep temperatures in the upper 80s at the beaches.  Beware of rip currents at area beaches due to an easterly swell from distant hurricane "Leslie".  The hurricane will stay far to the east, but it's "Isaac" that could become a local problem.  The storm has re-entered the Gulf of Mexico and could try to regenerate as it moves east/northeast bringing potentially heavy rain to Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia this weekend.  In the meantime, only isolated to widely scattered afternoon showers & storms will occur Thursday and Friday.
