JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Shortly after 5 a.m., Jacksonville Fire and Rescue were called to a home on Lowell Avenue. They had the fire under control in 10 minutes, but just days before Thanksgiving, everything was destroyed.

Tammie Bolden and her 27-year-old son were living in the house, but neither one was home when the fire started.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said the cause is still under investigation, but Tammie Bolden said she believes somebody broke in and started it.

"Somebody had to set it because I came by here at 11 o'clock last night to check on it. And I walked up on the porch and the feeling just didn't feel right," Bolden said. "And you could here foot prints of something, so when they got still, I got still. So I just didn't go in the house. My daughter told me not to go in."

She stayed with her daughter last night and got the phone calls this morning from neighbors about the fire. She said she didn't call police last night because she had called several times before about somebody breaking in and she didn't want to be a nuisance.

The family was going to spend Thanksgiving at Bolden's but will now spend it at her daughter's home.
