WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican-run House has voted to avoid a partial government shutdown next week but also delay President Barack Obama's health care law.

Because of that condition, the White House has promised the overall legislation will be vetoed. That means the two sides are edging closer to a shutdown of many federal services Tuesday morning, with no obvious solution in sight.

The House sent the legislation to the Democratic-run Senate early Sunday by 231-192.

The bill would delay much of the 2010 health care overhaul for a year. It would also repeal a tax on medical devices that helps finance the health care law.

The shutdown bill will probably never reach Obama because the Senate's majority leader, Nevada Democrat Harry Reid, says his chamber will reject the measure first.

Obama wants a shutdown so he can blame republicans for it. He himself delayed the mandate for businesses to provide insurance or pay a fine because he knows it will hurt jobs. He does not want the full pain of Obamacare to hurt his fellow liberals in 2014.

Do you believe in the Constitution? Let me tell you what that makes you in the eyes of top Democrats. Harry Reid called you an anarchist. Nancy Pelosi says that you are a political arsonist. One of Obama's top advisors likened you to a suicide bomber. Obama himself says that you are an extremist and an extortionist. This is the type of inflamed, hate-filled rhetoric that we are up against..IMPEACH OBAMA..he is NOT representing the hard working Americans, who SUPPORT the bums who live 20 years on welfare.

IMPEACH HIM. WHY hasn't SOMEONE started the proceedings to get this crook out of office? IT'S OUR OFFICE...not his.

Several things should be kept in mind. The most important concerning the so called Obamacare is that they had to admit to the supreme court that is nothing more than a tax on uninsured. Requiring everyone to have insurance seems good in theory but look at what happened to auto insurance and home owners insurance after those were required. The companies invested in lobbyists to corrupt the laws over time. Something else to keep in mind do you really trust government after they arrest a protestor on faked felony charges? Pastor Terry Jones was arrested have you heard peep about the faked triumphed up charges since then? Keep in mind our Constitution guarntees people the right to redress wrongs or protest if they feel the need to. When we start arresting people for made up charges we are no longer following the Constitution and you should be scared when that happens. You might say I done nothing wrong. Many veterans who lost their rights to seat jury trials for the rest of their lives did nothing wrong as well. Allow politicians to ignore the Constitution at will and this country will become even worse than it already is.

Scare tactics by Obama to shut down the Government, because HE KNOWS it will not work for ALL Americans if he rams it through without Americans even reading it.

a lot of people shouldn't be in office. E-Verify Obama first and jail him for ID theft!

Harry Reid shouldn't even be in office. He died and his brain shut down years ago; he just hasn't fallen down yet. The funny part is that the libs keep voting for the old cadaver.
