YULEE, Fla. -- The Nassau County Sheriff's Office arrested a housekeeper from Georgia on theft charges.

Investigators say Marjorie Lynn Bowen of St. Marys admitted to stealing nearly $13,000 worth of antiques and silverware from a home in Fernandina Beach.

The homeowner reported the items missing in mid-September.  They included a sterling silver antique coffee pot, an antique cream pitcher, 14 five-piece sterling place settings, a meat fork, gravy ladle, 21 silver spoons, and silver serving trays and bowls.

Authorities say several of those items showed up at a pawn shop in Yulee.

The investigation led deputies to Bowen who had access to the home as a housekeeper.

She told deputies she stole the items as well as some jewelry and pawned them.

Bowen has been charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and false verification of ownership of pawned items.
