JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You don't have to look far to find ghosts, goblins, witches or ghouls.

"It's a fun, fun holiday. You get to be someone you are not for a day," said Senior Operations Director for the Jacksonville Humane Society, Danya Freel.

But the scariest part of your Halloween costume doesn't have to be the price tag.

"We always set up for Halloween. You can come in right now and get anything from an outfit for your child to that sexy little thing to an 80's costume," said Freel.

The Jacksonville Humane Society's thrift shop is stocked full of Halloween goodies that won't break the bank. The prices range from $5 to $15, and it all goes to a good cause.

"It goes to support the homeless animals in our community," said Freel.

The thrift store brings in around $600,000 a year making up 18 percent of the humane society's overall budget.

"Speaking as a mom, I can say my daughter grows like a weed. So coming to a thrift store allows me to save a little bit of money since she won't be able to use it next year," said Freel.

"There is a lot of good selection. There is a lot of quality merchandise, and it's a secret that a whole lot of people don't know about," said regular shopper, Connie Smith.

They are scary savings that will fill your family's Halloween with screams of joy.
