ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Interstate 95 southbound is back open after two separate accidents involving a total of four semis.The first crash happened near mile marker 303 at the Crescent Beach exit. A witness on the scene said one semi rear-ended the other. One of the semis crashed into the woods and caught fire. One of the drivers was flown to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
As police were working to clear that crash, another semi rear-ended a tractor trailer about half a mile north of the original crash.The damaged semis have been cleared from the roadway.
Environmental teams cleaned up heavy oil and gasoline deposits in the roadway.
