No foul play suspected in local infant's death

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police now say they do not suspect foul play in the death of an infant at Memorial Hospital.

The child's parents brought the baby in for treatment early Tuesday morning. The child later died.

Detectives say hospital staff called them to report suspicious circumstances surrounding the child's injuries.

Homicide detectives came out to investigate. One of the investigators told Action News that no foul play is suspected in the case.
