JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Inland freeze WARNING tonight...

Clearing skies, dry air and diminishing winds will combine to make it a cold night for Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.  The coldest temperatures -- below freezing for up to 6 hours -- will be west of Highway 301.  Readings will be near or a bit below 32 degrees for 2-3 hours north and west of the St. Johns River.

A warming trend will begin Friday with afternoon highs in the mid 60s.  The weekend will be very nice under partly sunny skies and highs near 70 Satuday and in the mid 70s Sunday but cooler at and near the coast.
