JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Intense thunderstorms will exit into the Atlantic between 5 and 6pm followed by another band of rain and heavy storms moving in from the west.  Storms will be capable of producing 1-3" of rain per hour, frequent lightning, gusty winds and possibly some hail.  The second line should move across Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia later this evening but with less intensity.  Still...be prepared for more lightning and some at least brief heavy rain.  Skies will become partly cloudy overnight with lows in the 70s.  Friday will be hot with scattered afternoon thunderstorms though not as numerous as past days.  Click ** here ** to send First Alert weather photos and video...click ** here ** to download the free First Alert Weather iPad App.

Here in Arlington there are several flooded streets just off Fort Caroline and the Watson office was hot by lightening and is without power.
