SANFORD, Fla. (KIRO-TV) -- In an interview to air Sunday on the Spanish-language television station Univision, George Zimmerman claims he is homeless and suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, according to this report posted on The Daily Mail.

In 2012, Zimmerman, a Sanford, Fla. neighborhood watch volunteer, fatally shot Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager who was visiting his father in the gated community. Zimmerman was acquitted of murder charges in a highly controversial case that polarized the nation.

Since the verdict, Zimmerman has had multiple brushes with the law. In the Univision interview, Zimmerman says he is unable to lead a normal life, and has to don a bulletproof vest whenever he goes out. He claims to have developed post traumatic stress disorder from the constant public scrutiny. Zimmerman admits that while his family helps him, he is currently homeless.

Despite the obstacles he's faced since the trial, Zimmerman holds fast to his belief that he did the right thing in shooting Martin. In the interview, he says he is convinced that Martin would have killed him if he hadn't taken drastic action.

The entire interview will air on the "Aquí y Ahora" show Sunday at 7 p.m.

Martin criminal caught with stolen jewelry from burglazried home in his backpack not his he claims. Beats the hell out snitch then says he's not bled enough for him. Goes shopping for handguns thereafter. Known to do pot and purple lean. Known to knock the hell out people he don't like. Then you have people making comments that is was Zimmerman's fault. I mean hell a little stealing, busting heads and trying to shoot snitches never hurt anyone right? Zimmerman's life is hell because of racist black people who attack anyone that hurts one their own but no where to be seen when there is black on black violence. No where to to be seen when black thugs kill store operators who beg for their lives. NO where to be seen when they shoot phone store clerks who didn't even get chance to beg for their lives. NO where to be seen when a black teenager kills a baby out hate crimes. No where to be seen when 600 mostly black youths riot in Jacksonville. NO where to be seen when thugs play music so loud it can destroy people's hearing. Truth hurts sometimes face the music.
