COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators are trying to find the owners of some stolen stuff, after a string of car burglaries in Lake City.

Aaron Bennefield was arrested for car break-ins at the Wise Estates, Creekside, Azalea Park and Callaway subdivisions.

Detectives arrested Bennefield after they say he was caught on surveillance video using a stolen credit card from one of the burglaries to buy tools from Lowe's. During a search of his home, detectives say they found stolen items including tools, electronics and firearms. Detectives were able to track down most of the stolen property at local pawn shops. Bennefield is charged with 22 separate counts of burglary. We're told more charges could be added.

Some of the stolen items have not yet been returned to their owners. To see if your items were found, call the Detective Division at (386) 758-1095.
