After watching this story last night and hearing the first part of it I just cant describe the anger I felt. When I heard that poor Somer's mother is receiving hate mail on how dare her let her child walk from school. I have to say how dare they write her things like that. The woman has suffered the worst thing a parent can ever go through. I praise Diena Thompson. She is a single parent that is trying to make a life for herself and her children. These people need to get a reality check. The school district thought it was safe for the kids to walk to and from school. There hadnt been any crime like this in the neighborhood before. My heart and prayers go out to the Thompson family. I praise them for being strong to make it through such a heartbreaking time. These people that want to make it even harder on her need to step back and really feel what she is going through and not cause her anymore pain and grief.

The police are so very right about teaching your children about "stranger danger". I've said it before in 'Comments' and I'll say it again here: "SCARE YOUR KIDS!!! Scare the hell out of them...better a scared kid than a DEAD ONE!!!"
