Further, once the cops arrived it would have been difficult not to mistake a "contentious citizen" from another gunman. Name one program that's that successful." That concealed weapons permit holders typically aren't likely to commit criminal acts proves nothing. The big issue is the rampant availability of firearms. The sheer number in circulation means that criminals will be able to get their hands on them. Sure, some will always find a way to get a gun. But far fewer would if guns were harder to obtain.
