It's not often that a single story has two of the most ignorant comments I've ever seen in print. First up from Max Franklin" "If somebody would have had a concealed weapon sitting in that front row this might not have been as bad as it was." No, it could very well have been worse. There would have been two shooters (or even more in Mr. Franklin's ideal situation)in that theater and bullets would have been flying everywhere. Further, once the cops arrived it would have been difficult not to mistake a "contentious citizen" from another gunman. Second, Gary Belson says "Ten thousandths of one percent who get the concealed weapons license in addition to this license have used guns in a crime two ten thousands of one percent. Name one program that's that successful." That concealed weapons permit holders typically aren't likely to commit criminal acts proves nothing. The big issue is the rampant availability of firearms. The sheer number in circulation means that criminals will be able to get their hands on them. Sure, some will always find a way to get a gun. But far fewer would if guns were harder to obtain.

Oh yea, gun control laws really work... How is this possible? It is unlawful to carry a gun concealed or have a loaded weapon in Aurora, CO. Someone needs to ask the liberal dipshits who pass these laws why they don't work. All the law-abiding citizens complied. Unfortunately, 71 of them got shot because they were helpless to defend themselves. http://www.coloradoceasefire.org/munilaws.htm Special Gun Laws for City of Aurora, CO 1.
