"Isaac" headed for the Caribbean

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Tropical storm "Isaac" continues to roll westward at some 20 mph and is moving into the Northeast Caribbean.  A tropical storm WARNING is in effect for Puerto Rico and nearby islands and the north half of the Lesser Antilles...a hurricane WARNING is in effect for the south coast of the Dominican Republic...a hurricane WATCH is in effect for the south & wet coast of Haiti.  Watches and warnings will soon be issued for parts of Cuba.  Early indications are that the storm will turn more northwest with time and could be in the vicinity of Florida late in the weekend into early next week.  The First Alert Weather Center expects few local impacts from "Isaac" through at least Sunday.  Click here to go to the First Alert Hurricane Center.
