JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for an arsonist wanted in a deadly house fire.

It happened around midnight Wednesday at a Southside home on the 3600 block of Mimosa Drive. That's in the Spring Park neighborhood.

According to JSO, the arsonist is described as a white man in his late teens or early twenties, between 5'6" and 5'7," with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a black and white backpack, a green shirt, shorts, and weighs 120 lbs.

A spokesperson from Jacksonville Fire and Rescue says an elderly man was found dead inside the burning house. Neighbors reported seeing a man set the home on fire and run away.

If you have any information, call police.
