LITTLE TALBOT ISLAND, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a body found washed up on the shore of Little Talbot Island Sunday morning.

Police say a man's body was spotted on shore around 9:30 a.m. by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The body was found approximately a mile from where rescue crews were searching for a missing swimmer Saturday afternoon.  However, JSO investigators could not tell if the body belongs to the swimmer.

JSO has taken the body to the Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy. They say there are no signs of trauma or foul play.

Investigators at the scene say there is still an active search for the missing swimmer from Saturday.
