JSO honors fallen police officers
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office held a tribute to its fallen officers Thursday.
The annual event honored the 60 men and women who have died in the line of duty since 1840.
The memorial service included a Police Memorial Day proclamation read by Retired Admiral Victor Guillory, a 21-gun salute by the JSO Honor Guard, and a "Missing Man" flyover by the JSO Aviation Unit.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office Pipes and Drums group played music selections at the service while Jacksonville Sheriff John Rutherford and Fraternal Order of Police President, Steve Amos, retired the memorial wreath.
