JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of robberies that took place overnight on the Westside.

Two of the robberies were of convenience stores that were located on or near Normandy Boulevard, according to JSO.

Police say both incidents involved a male robber, who demanded money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from both stores.

A detailed description of the robbers was not released, but detectives tell Action News that the individual or individuals that they are seeking was able to keep his head covered during the robberies.

Police have not addressed whether the robberies are connected.

Anyone with information on the cases can call 1-866-845-TIPS and remain anonymous.

What is the point of putting this in the news if you don't give us any details. Like where on Normandy, what the guys look like .I work in retail around that area and it would be nice to know what I'm on the look out for. I would like to stay safe, I have a family to come home too....just sayin
