JSO looking for witness to hit and run
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Investigators are looking for a female who was battered outside The Jacksonville Landing prior to a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot early Friday morning.
Police would like to speak to the female who was the victim of battery outside The Jacksonville Landing because they believe she was a key witness to the hit and run accident that left a man in critical condition.
The battery occurred outside The Jacksonville Landing between midnight and 2:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10. No one has filed a police report in reference to a battery.
According to witnesses, a fight started where a man hit a woman in the face and ran to his car. The man backed his truck into a van and then another man jumped onto his hood. The man on the hood fell off and was run over. He was transported to UF & Shands Jacksonville in critical condition.
