JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Florida is considered the pill-mill capital of the nation, but officers across the state worked to stop prescription abuse Saturday.

Saturday was the second annual Drug-Take Back Day. Anyone with expired or unused prescription or over the counter drugs could have dropped them off with officers at Walgreens with no questions asked.

JSO collected a bag full of medicine from the Dunn Avenue location alone. All of the drugs collected will be burned in an incinerator.

The concept is great, but with our police dept. 50% of those pills will be right back on the streets,of course, excluding the pills actually recorded with a paper trail ! I live close to the Dunn ave. area and I know you can only trust a few ofthe cops, I've asked for their help in helping to get the drugs out of our area, EVEN when I gave them HD dvd recordings they wouldn't do anything !!!!!
