JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville Transit Authority bus was maneuvering through flood waters on the Westside Monday when a miscalculation left the bus in a drainage ditch.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the incident happened on Carder Street at Lake Shore Boulevard Monday morning.

There was a police barricade up because the entire street was under water.

The JTA bus driver tried going around the barricade and wound up stuck in a drainage ditch.

There were four or five passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.  No one was injured and another bus came and picked them up.

The female bus driver is being cited.

You are all very quick to judge. Perhaps her dispatcher told her to proceed. You don't have all the details!
