JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville University announced its top three finalists for president. The person chosen will replace current President Kerry Romesburg when he retires next summer.
The candidates are:
John M. Beehler is the founding Vice President for Research, Economic Development and Public Engagement at the University of North Texas at Dallas. He's been in the academic industry for 18 years in leadership positions including Northern Kentucky University.
Jayne Marie Comstock is the Director of Executive Leadership Group, American Council on Education, Washington, DC. She is currently on sabbatical from Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind.
Tim Cost is the Executive Vice President/Consultant, PepsiCo, New York, NY. He's worked for 30 years as a senior executive in companies from Bristol-Myers Squibb, Kodak, ARAMARK, Wyeth and Pharmacia.
Community receptions for each will be held on campus Oct. 16, 17 and 19 in Jacksonville University's Davis College of Business conference rooms, 2800 University Blvd.
The new president will take over on July 1, 2013.
