Jacksonville NAS welcomes home Tridents
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Naval Air Station Jacksonville hosted a homecoming today.
The last of VP-26 "The Tridents" flew in to a welcome from friends and family.
Crews have been deployed for the past seven months to Japan, but their mission took them to typhoon-ravaged communities in the Philippines and a half-dozen other countries across the globe.
Dozens of loved ones waited on the tarmac for their first kiss, their first hug, in seven long months.
This homecoming comes just a week before Christmas. The crew will enjoy the holidays before preparing for another deployment next year.
