JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sharks are throwing their support behind SMG, the current management company of the Veterans Memorial Arena and EverBank Field.

It's in line with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who want SMG to run stadium operations at EverBank Field.

"SMG is a big reason that arena football is here," said Sharks Managing partner Jeff Bouchy.  "They understand that our growth is tied to their growth, and they really attempt to accommodate us in every way to ensure that the Sharks are here for years to come."

Stadium management erupted into a firestorm last week when the city of Jacksonville mistakenly sent a letter of default to the Jaguars, threatening to evict the team from the stadium. The letter came about after the Jaguars told the city the team wanted SMG to continue operating at EverBank field.

The Jacksonville Sharks are the XXIV ArenaBowl champions.
