I'm 'caught up' in the reason WHY these kids left the scene GaryG, is because, WHY DIDN'T THEY KEEP GOING AND TAKE THEIR FRIEND TO THE HOSPITAL instead of letting him die? WHO KNOWS WHY DUNN DID WHAT HE DID EXCEPT DUNN. He claims he saw a shotgun and was defending himself...Why hasn't the thug that was driving been arrested? He was breaking his probation...I'll tell you why he left, he was facing HARD TIME IF THEY FOUND THAT SHOT GUN TOO. Sorry thugs who cry and lie for pity from everyone who will believe them.

OK Mr. Gary G...you have your opinions and we have ours. The fact is, they left the scene...who is to say they didnt have a gun when they left and got rid of it.Jordans friend's say one thing and Mr. Dunn says something else...the kids could be lying and then again so could Mr. Dunn. We may never know the full truth till we are judged by God himself.

How can you be so caught up in why these young men left the scene, and then came back. What would you do if an angry man was shooting at your car, roll down your window and say please stop that? Why aren't you asking why Mr. Dunn felt so in danger that he got out his gun and started shooting into a car full of people then just left the scene. Why didn't Mr. Dunn report report these obviously dangerous thugs to the police? I don't believe there ever was a shotgun. I do believe that is just a story he made up when he found out that he had killed someone and new he was going to get caught.

I totally agree with you all!! No one wants to look further into the reason why those kids left the scene of a crime, so by right an innocent man that was only trying to protect his self will get lynched because the 22.5% that live in Jacksonville want to defend their ancestors even though, they chose to live like criminals & allow their children to live like criminals as well. If Mom & Dad would have been doing their job, that boy would have been surrounded with positive kids, instead of ones that already have criminal records. I am sure you all, can remember NEWS of REALLY INNOCENT children/people that DIED horribly by the hands of people like this, CLAIMING such INNOCENTS, they didn't run around suing to make money off their DECEASED CHILDREN...It is PATHETIC, that this MAYOR feels the NEED to REWARD such BAD/NOT SO INNOCENT BEHAVIOR, meaning LEAVING the SCENE of a CRIME & then ALLOWING publicity of a CELEBRATION before anyone actually looked into WHERE those kids HID THAT SHOTGUN!! Here in Jacksonville, it shows me that a TITLE, is so MUCH more IMPORTANT than the TURTH!!! As well as the MEDIA, I know they have to be PUPPETS to secure their position on the payroll!!

Guess playing your music loud forcing it on others is something to be proud of.

Obviously, you don't have to do anything but be black to get your own day in Jacksonville. I'm surprised the media hasn't labeled him as a hero!

Whoop-De-Do....another holier than thou kid being honored for the lack of respect he had for others. Interesting thought....if he and his friends are so innocent then why did they leave the scene and then come back...was it cause they had to get rid of the weapon the may have had????
