JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Action News has learned tonight that several local hospitals received products from NECC, the company accused in the recent meningitis outbreak, according to the Florida Department of Health. They also announced another death in the state blamed on the outbreak.

State health officials said Wednesday that a 78-year-old Marion County man received the injection on Aug. 28 and died earlier this week.  Also, they say, a 13th Floridian has contracted meningitis due to the contaminated steroid.

People in 15 states have been affected by the tainted medicine from a Massachusetts compounding pharmacy. Federal health officials say 15 people have died.

Three Ocala medical facilities received contaminated products. They are.

So what do people who received steroid injections from these places need to do? What should they need to look for?
