Summer/Winter fuel mixtures....what a bunch of hooey. let's face it, mixing ethenal with gas is rediculous. When will the real destructive facts of this mixture be publicized? It destroys small engines and gaskets. But, speaking about prices, why is it such a big secret why diesel fuel costs so much and requires no refining before it is used in engines. In reality crude oil is strained and sold as diesel. Yet, the public is lulled into beliving it requires more work/refining than gasoline. Check it out. The government makes a lot of money off high all fuel prices. The history of the American publics knowledge of what fuel costs and work really involved, has been so clouded. The public was so deceived by the general media as to why the cost of unleaded gas had to cost more than leaded regular gas. Especially when car engines were being developed, it was discovered ADDING lead to refined gasoline kept the combustion heat lower and with water cooling kept the engines from over heating. Then in the 70's the public it told it costs more to remove lead from the refined gasoline. Yep, costs more to remove it after they added the lead. Thus the higher cost of unleaded gas. That's right. It's no wonder in the "information age" the individual knows less than the folks before it. Smart people listen to information, research it, and reach their own conclusion. I am begining to believe this is the age of the uninformed and misinformed. Whatever happened to using our thinking hat and asking factual questions, seeking the real facts of all situations?
