JACKSONVILLE Fla. -- Jacksonville's new professional soccer team will reveal its team name and logo at the Jacksonville Landing on Tuesday.

Mayor Alvin Brown, City Council President Bill Gulliford and North American Soccer League Commissioner Bill Peterson will join leaders of the Jacksonville NASL team to unveil the logo and name.

The NASL team was announced in July of 2013.

Fans submitted over 1,500 suggestions for a logo and name.

Team ownership narrowed down submissions to a top six.

Fans who submitted the winning name will be entered into a drawing to win a trip to a professional soccer game.

The winning fan will be announced at the unveiling.

Over the last week the team has teased the unveilings by revealing a portion of the logo on digital billboards across Jacksonville.

A question-and-answer forum will happen at the landing with NASL team owner Mark Frisch, team president Steve Livingstone, as well as general manager Dario Sala.

Fans should arrive early to have a chance to pick up the first official merchandise featuring the new name and logo as well as register for other giveaways.

There will also be a selection of food and beverages, soccer-style games and experiences, live entertainment and additional fan entertainment.

The event is free and open the public.
